Brecon Beacons National Park
The Brecon Beacons National Park stretches from Llandeilo in the west to Hay-on-Wye in the northeast and Pontypool in the southeast, covering 519 square miles (1,340 km2). Activities in the Park include walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, as well as sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and fishing, rock climbing, hang-gliding, caravanning, camping and caving.

The Gower Peninsula
The Gower was the first area in the United Kingdom to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is known for its coastline. About 70 square miles (180 km2) in area it is popular with walkers and outdoor enthusiasts and boasts one of the best beaches in the country in Rhossili Bay.
Brechfa Forest consists of 18,000 acres of ancient and managed woodlands that provides open access space for walkers, horse riders and cyclists. It has become one of Wales' prime destinations for mountain bikers and is home to several trails designed specifically for mountain biking, along with a mountain biking centre.

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is the only one in the United Kingdom to have been designated primarily because of its spectacular coastline. It has a varied landscape of rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, wooded estuaries and wild inland hills, covering a total area of 629 km2 (243 sq mi). The well maintained Pembrokeshire Coast Path is extremely popular with walkers and offers some spectacular views of beautiful coastal scenery. Another highlight is the colourful fishing town of Tenby.
